River Drift is a casual endless-runner game. You control a boat around an unlimited river, avoiding obstacles, collecting goods and accomplishing quests.
When the game starts, your boat will automatically go forward. Steer Left and Right to Safely Navigate the River. Dodge rocks, floating logs, animals, tight spots and other obstacles that pop up randomly on every run with expert precision.
Any contact with a barrier will halt your voyage immediately.
Drifting downstream, you'll find diamonds and coins sprinkled over the river. Gather them to unlock new boats and characters. The further you go, the faster you go. Your reflexes have to be quicker and your attention greater.
Look Forward, Not at Your Boat
The biggest error beginners make is to look at the boat instead of looking ahead at the river. If you look further down the river, you will see obstacles sooner and have more time to react to them.
Move Smoothly
Don't jerk the steering wheel back and forth. If you suddenly move, your boat may hit another obstacle. A small tweak generally provides considerably better control.
Don’t Chase All of the Gems
It’s better to lose one gem than to ruin a great run by taking an unwarranted risk. If possible, stay near the center. Straddling the middle of the river is better, since it provides you more alternatives when you encounter an obstacle.
There’s little means of escape around the rim.
Test your reflexes
After a few rounds, you'll automatically get better at spotting patterns of obstacles, judging safe paths and reacting under pressure. All failure adds to the skill set that you can use for a longer run next time.
Keep Cool in Rapid Passages
As the river gets faster and more congested, many players worry and overcorrect.
Stay Calm During Fast Sections
If you can maintain a steady rhythm, you’ll frequently survive considerably longer.
